Dr. Brijesh D. Patel, DO, FACC is a non-invasive cardiologist at Indiana University Health and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at IU School of Medicine. He specializes in cardio-oncology, echocardiography, and advanced imaging, with a mission to improve heart health for patients living with or beyond cancer through evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Dr. Patel completed his Internal Medicine residency at Ascension Providence, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a Cardiology fellowship at Lehigh Valley Health Network. He is among a select group recognized as a Certified Cardio-Oncologist (IC-OS) and is a proud Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). His training and clinical expertise emphasize integrating cardio-oncology with data-driven imaging to advance personalized cardiovascular care.
In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Patel is actively engaged in scholarly research on outcomes in patients with cancer and cardiovascular disease, as well as the application of artificial intelligence in echocardiography.
